The purpose of this bill is to provide that all procedures previously followed for miners’ health, safety and training and underground mines are to be subject to standards established by the U.S. Mine Safety & Health Administration. The bill does not change; civil and criminal penalties for violations of this article. It provides that by August 31, 2018, all existing state rules or regulations under the authority of this article be revised to reflect the changes in this bill. The purpose of this bill is to remove one of the requirements for eligibility for an alternative program teacher certificate. Requiring federal fingerprint background checks for transportation network company drivers and taxi drivers [HB-4427]
The purpose of this bill is to require federal fingerprint background checks for transportation network company drivers and taxi drivers. The bill provides that the reports of transportation network company drivers are to be shared with the Division of Motor Vehicles. The bill provides that the reports of the taxi cab drivers are to be shared with the Public Service Commission. The bill requires complaints against transportation network companies or their drivers be investigated by the Division of Motor Vehicles. The bill requires rulemaking.

Citizen and State Accountability Act [HB-4458]
The purpose of this bill is to create Citizen and State Accountability Act. The bill authorizes departments, agencies, and officials of state or local government to apply for major and minor grant agreements. The bill establishes the requirements for applying for the grant agreements. The bill requires reports. The bill requires written consent for major grant requests by the Governor.
