Relating to the powers and duties of the Office of Coalfield Community Development [HB-4340]
The purpose of this bill is to provide that all procedures previously followed for miners’ health, safety and training and underground mines are to be subject to standards established by the U.S. Mine Safety & Health Administration. The bill does not change; civil and criminal penalties for violations of this article. It provides that by August 31, 2018, all existing state rules or regulations under the authority of this article be revised to reflect the changes in this bill. Relating to the prevention of sexual abuse of children [HB-4402]
The purpose of this bill is prevent sexual abuse by educating students in K-12 and providing training to public school employees. The bill requires yearly education to students and requires the state board to promulgate rules therefore. It also requires the board to promulgate rules for the training of public school employees.

Relating to eligibility for alternative program teacher certificate [HB-4407]
The purpose of this bill is to remove one of the requirements for eligibility for an alternative program teacher certificate. The bill provides that the reports of transportation network company drivers are to be shared with the Division of Motor Vehicles. The bill provides that the reports of the taxi cab drivers are to be shared with the Public Service Commission.
