Regulating step therapy protocols [HB-2300]
The purpose of this bill is to regulate the use of step therapy protocols by providing a simple and expeditious process for exceptions to the protocols that the health care provider deems not in the best interests of the patient.

Protecting academic freedom in higher education [HB-2335]
The purpose of this bill is to promote intellectual diversity and academic freedom in institutions of higher education. The bill prohibits employment decisions concerning faculty members from being based solely on political or religious beliefs. The bill requires all tenure, search and hiring committee deliberations to be recorded and made available to the appropriate constituted authorities. The bill prohibits students from being graded on political or religious beliefs. The bill requires academic disciplines to welcome a diversity of approaches

Establishing additional substance abuse treatment facilities [HB-2428]
The purpose of this bill is to establish additional substance abuse treatment facilities; offer legislative findings; establish additional substance abuse treatment services in Wood County, West Virginia; require the secretary of DHHR to determine how best to effectuate the purposes of the article; create a Substance Abuse Treatment Fund to support the facilities established pursuant to this article.
