Repealing the business and inventory ad valorem tangible personal property tax. [HJR-13]

Limiting supervision of laying of lines on state rights-of-way [HB-2042]
The purpose of this bill is to provide oversight into the public service districts' laying of water or sewer lines on state rights-of-way. The bill will limit the onsite time required supervision by a state engineer. The bill will require payment and performance bonds to cover a reasonable length of time for defects to be discovered.

Relating to relocation or closure of state higher education institutions [HB-2401]
The purpose of this bill is to ensure that closure or transfer of any publicly-funded higher education institution be preapproved by the Legislative Oversight Commission on Education Accountability (LOCEA); to require both an economic and educational study to be presented to the LOCEA before it may be closed or transferred.
