The purpose of this bill is to modify the purpose of the scholarship beginning in 2020; establish scholarship preference for applicants pursuing math and science teaching careers; modify selection criteria for the award of scholarships; modify scholarship agreement condition requirements; modify scholarship renewal requirements; modify purpose of teacher scholarship program to those pursuing careers in teaching math or science; modify scholarship agreement condition requirements for teachers; and modify scholarship renewal requirements for teachers.

The Young Professional Tax Credits [HB-3009]
The purpose of this bill is to create “The Young Professional Tax Credits” for student loans. The bill provides that the credit applies to college graduates from ages 18 to 40 or until the student loan is repaid. The bill also provides for a refundable child care credit.

Reentry Task Force [HB-3008]
The purpose of this bill is to establish and create comprehensive reentry services for offenders reentering communities to reduce recidivism rates by providing standard services; family-based substance abuse services; educational services; drug treatment and mentoring services; responsible reintegration services; elderly and family reunification services; and children of incarcerated parents services.
