The purpose of this bill is to create a loan tuition forgiveness program to encourage students in selected and necessary fields to remain in the state; create a “New College Families” loan forgiveness program; and create a loan forgiveness program for counties with low college attendance.

Relating to the collection of taxes on wine and intoxicating liquors [HB-2894]
The purpose of this bill is to provide that no wine or liquor excise tax will be collected on purchases of wine or intoxicating liquors in the original sealed package for the purpose of resale, if the final purchase of the wine or intoxicating liquor is subject to the excise tax. The bill also provides that no liter tax will be collected on wine sold in the original sealed package for the purpose of resale, if the subsequent sale of the wine is subject to the liter tax. The bill also defines terms.

Relating to the theft of consumer identity protections [HB-2976]
The purpose of this bill is to include protection for theft of identity information of persons sixty years of age or older or individuals under eighteen years of age. The bill; adds definitions; provides that a report to law-enforcement agency that a person’s identifying information has been lost or stolen is prima facie evidence of identity theft. And the bill provides both misdemeanor and felony penalties for violations.
