An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Secretary Of Education's Qualifications. [SB-72]
This bill increases the teaching and administrative experience qualifications for the Secretary of Education from 5 years to 10 years. The Bill also clarifies that at least 6 years must be of teaching experience and at least 2 years must be of administrative experience.

Section 1. Section 1 amends Section 102(a)(1) to enable the Division of Corporations in the Department of State to waive the requirement under Section 102(a)(1)(ii) in certain limited circumstances. This bill amends Section 4111 of Title 14 of the Delaware Code to establish policies and procedures that enable school districts, schools, teachers, and school staff to collect and use student data for appropriate educational purposes while ensuring that the student data is kept safe and the privacy of students and their parents and guardians is protected. This Act makes several changes to Title 10 and Title 11 of the Delaware Code relating to domestic violence. First, this Act amends 1045, Title 10 relating domestic violence protective orders to clarify the procedures related to the disposition of firearms in the possession of a respondent.
