An Act To Amend Title 14 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Education. [HB-399]
This Bill will create the Inspire Scholarship Program. Inspire scholarships are available to Delaware students with excellent credentials and economic need to attend Delaware State University. The intent of this program is to increase the number of students in Delaware who attend college and complete degree programs. The amounts available to these grant recipients are subject to available funds and are capped at the grant amount available to SEED grant recipients. An Act To Amend Title 6 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Building Construction Disputes. [HB-400]
This Act makes void as against public policy any provision in a contract, agreement, or understanding relating to construction work that would make litigation, mediation, arbitration or other alternative dispute resolution processes subject to the laws of a state other than Delaware, or requires the parties to litigate or engage in alternative dispute resolution in a state other than Delaware. Consistent with the Contract Clause, this Act shall be prospective in nature.
