An Act To Amend Title 10 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Disposition Of Children Pending Adjudication And Payment For Care. [SB-264]
For nearly 8 years Delaware has been involved in a collaborative effort among juvenile justice agencies to, among other goals, reduce the unwarranted detention of juveniles and provide meaningful alternatives to such detention. While the Juvenile Justice Collaborative has made significant strides in that effort, experience has shown that the current provisions of 10 Del. C. 1007 do not adequately meet the circumstances faced by those courts dealing with juvenile detention decisions. Situations such as violent misdemeanors-especially against parents,

An Act To Amend Titles 15 And 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Polling Place Accessibility. [SB-285]
Federal laws require polling places used in federal elections to be accessible. This bill would facilitate compliance by prompting departments of election to solicit a site survey by the Architectural Accessibility Board if there are questions raised about the accessibility of a proposed or existing polling place. An Act To Amend Title 16 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Nursing Facilities And Similar Facilities. [SB-291]
This Bill makes changes which require the Division of Long Term Care Residents Protection to post online the results of its surveys of nursing facilities. The act also eliminates the current obligation of the Division to conduct a follow-up meeting after every survey of a nursing facility, and replaces it with an obligation to conduct such meetings upon request by the facility, a resident, or a resident’s family member or agent. Because these meetings occur after the report is issued and a plan of action approved, it is held months after the surveyors
