Housing Unhoused Disabled Veterans Act [HB-8340]
To amend section 3(b)(4) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 to exclude certain disability benefits from income for the purposes of determining eligibility for the supported housing program under section 8(o)(19), and for other purposes.

Explanation of H.R. 8340 in Layman's Terms:
"Housing Unhoused Disabled Veterans Act" is a bill introduced to exclude certain disability benefits from being counted as income when determining eligibility for the supported housing program. This is aimed towards helping disabled veterans access housing assistance programs without their disability benefits affecting their eligibility. The bill also defines terms and specifies the exclusion of disability benefits for veterans renting residential units on Department property.
