United States-India Enhanced Cooperation Act of 2019 [HB-2123]
Adjusts India's status, for the purposes of various restrictions and requirements related to the transfer of defense articles and services, so that it is similar to the status of U.S. allies such as Australia and Japan. Reaffirming the United States commitment to Taiwan and to the implementation of the Taiwan Relations Act. [HR-273]
This resolution affirms that the Taiwan Relations Act and the Six Assurances will remain cornerstones of the U.S.-Taiwan relationship. It encourages increasing engagement between the United States and Taiwan and states that the President should conduct regular transfers of defense articles to Taiwan. Merchant Mariners of World War II Congressional Gold Medal Act of 2019 [HB-550]
Prohibits the obligation or expenditure of federal funds for any use of military force in or against Iran unless Congress has either declared war or enacted specific statutory authorization for such use.
