An Act relating to criminal background checks for marijuana establishment registrations and renewals; and providing for an effective date.

Explanation of HB0319d -1- CSHB 319(JUD) am:
This bill states that any application or renewal application for a marijuana establishment in Alaska must include fingerprints and fees for a criminal background check. The background check will be done by the Department of Public Safety to obtain a report of criminal history information. The applicant must also submit to a national criminal history record check every six years for a renewal.
Effective Date: This act takes effect immediately.
