Anti-hunger Empowerment Act of 2017 This bill reduces administrative requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as the food stamp program), authorizes funding to increase access to SNAP offices, and authorizes grants for community-based nonprofits to expand anti-hunger activities. The bill amends the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to repeal existing provisions regarding administrative costs and authorize the Department of Agriculture (USDA) to pay 75% of the administrative costs for state agencies to increase

Susquehanna National Heritage Area Act This bill establishes the Susquehanna National Heritage Area in Pennsylvania. The Susquehanna Heritage Corporation is designated as the local coordinating entity for the area. The Corporation shall prepare and submit a management plan for the area.

National Heritage Area Act of 2017 This bill establishes a National Heritage Areas System to recognize certain areas of the United States that tell nationally significant stories and to conserve, enhance, and interpret the areas' natural, historic, scenic, and cultural resources that illustrate significant aspects of U.S. heritage. VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017 TITLE I--APPROPRIATION OF AMOUNTS FOR VETERANS CHOICE PROGRAM (Sec. 101) This bill provides funding for the Veterans Choice Program. TITLE II--PERSONNEL MATTERS (Sec. 201) The annual determination of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) staff shortages shall include shortages for a minimum of five clinical and five nonclinical occupations for each network. (Such determination currently includes the five occupations for which there are the largest Department of Veterans Affairs [VA]-wide shortages.)
