Limits the prohibition on the possession of firearms, stun weapons, or certain other weapons on the property of child day centers or public, private, or religious preschools to that portion of the child day center or preschool exclusively used for the conduct of the child day center or preschool and excluding any common areas or grounds open to the public.

Relating To Prohibition Of Firearms On School Property. [SB-124]
Prohibits the possession of firearms on school property and school buses and at school-sponsored functions. Exempts certain law enforcement officers and instructors and participants of certain educational or training programs. Establishes that violators are guilty of a class B felony. Requires children enrolled in school who are in violation to be excluded from school attendance for not less than one year. Defines school, school bus, school property, and school-sponsored function.

Income tax, state; firearm safety device tax credit. [HB-2387]
Firearm safety device tax credit. Establishes a nonrefundable income tax credit for taxable years 2023 through 2027 for individuals who purchase one or more firearm safety devices, as defined in the bill, in an eligible transaction, as defined in the bill. An individual who properly claims this credit shall be allowed a credit in the amount of up to $300 for the cost incurred in such purchase. The aggregate amount of credits allowable under the provisions of the bill shall not exceed $5 million per taxable year. Firearm safety device tax credit.
