Climate Action Rebate Act of 2019 [S.2284]
Imposes a carbon fee on the use, sale, or transfer of certain fossil fuels and fluorinated gases that emit greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The fee is imposed on producers and importers of such fuels and is deposited into a Climate Action Rebate Fund established by this bill. The bill establishes an gradual emissions reduction schedule for such fuels between 2020 and 2050 (100% reduction). National Flood Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2019 [HB-3167]
Generally revises the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and reauthorizes the program through FY2024. Flood Insurance for Farmers Act of 2019 [HB-830]
Modifies coverage requirements under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The bill allows certain local variances from compliance with elevation and flood-proofing requirements for agricultural structures located in special flood hazard zones. The chargeable premium rate for coverage of a structure given a variance shall be the same as would otherwise apply if the structure had been dry floodproofed. The bill allows for alternative maps and risk-based rates for NFIP coverage in certain areas where levees fail to meet specified minimum standards.
