Criminal Law - Animal Abuse or Neglect - Penalties [SB-80]
Prohibiting a person from committing a violation of the prohibition against abusing or neglecting an animal that results in the death of a domestic animal or livestock or the need to euthanize the domestic animal or livestock; providing that a person who violates the Act is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment for up to 1 year or a fine of up to $5,000 or both; and authorizing a court to impost certain conditions of sentencing and probation.
