H. R. 6846 - Corruption, Overthrowing Rule of Law, and Ruining Ukraine: Putin's Trifecta Act
This bill is designed to require a review of sanctions against individuals in Russia who are involved in corruption and human rights abuses. The bill lists numerous individuals, including current and former Russian government officials, and requires the President to determine whether these individuals meet the criteria for sanctions within 30 days of the bill's enactment. The determination must include a detailed justification.
The bill defines the "appropriate congressional committees" as the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives, as well as the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate.
