No Assistance for Assad Act [HB-1706]
Bars assistance for stabilization or reconstruction activities for any part of Syria controlled by the Syrian government or associated forces. The restrictions do not apply to assistance for (1) certain projects administered by local organizations, (2) projects to meet basic human needs such as drought relief, and (3) activities related to Syrian compliance with certain weapons treaties. The restrictions apply through FY2024 and shall be lifted if the President certifies to Congress that various criteria have been met, such as that the Syrian government

AFGHAN Service Act American Forces Going Home After Noble Service Act [SJR-12]
Repeals the Authorization for Use of Military Force enacted in response to the September 11, 2001, attacks. It also directs the Department of Defense to report to Congress a plan for (1) the orderly withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, and (2) political reconciliation and elections in Afghanistan independent of U.S. involvement. All members of the U.S. Armed Forces deployed in support of the Global War on Terror shall receive a $2,500 bonus.

Reinstates and extends the authority of the Department of Veterans Affairs to determine and regulate diseases that warrant a presumption of service connection after exposure to a herbicide agent. Under a presumption of service connection, specific diseases diagnosed in certain veterans are presumed to have been caused by the circumstances of their military service.
