Mahoney Lake Hydroelectric Project Licensing Act [HB-4317]
Mahoney Lake Hydroelectric Project Licensing Act This bill requires the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), upon request, to issue a stay of the statutory deadline by which construction must commence on the Mahoney Lake Hydroelectric Project located in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. (The City of Saxman, Alaska, was granted a construction license for the Mahoney Lake Hydroelectric Project on January 22, 1998.) Additionally, upon request, FERC must reinstate the construction license and make it effective as of the date the stay is lifted.

To reinstate and extend the deadline for commencement of construction of a hydroelectric project involving the Gibson Dam. This bill authorizes the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), upon request, to extend for up to six years the time period during which construction must commence on the Gibson Dam Hydroelectric Project located on the Sun River in Lewis, Clark, and Teton Counties, Montana. Additionally, FERC may reinstate the construction license if it is expired.

Offshore Wind for Territories Act [HB-6665]
Offshore Wind for Territories Act This bill amends the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act to authorize offshore wind development in the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone adjacent to U.S. territories. The bill also establishes the Coral Reef Conservation Fund for the Department of Commerce to carry out the Coral Reef Conservation Act of 2000, including to preserve, sustain, and restore the condition of coral reef ecosystems.

Geothermal Production Expansion Act of 2017 This bill amends the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970 to allow the Department of the Interior to award noncompetitive leases on up to 640 acres of federal land for geothermal development if: (1) the land is available for leasing and not already leased or nominated to be leased, (2) the lessee has a legal right to develop geothermal resources on land adjacent to the federal land that will be leased, (3) sufficient data was submitted to Interior to show there is a valid discovery of geothermal resources on the
