Medicare Home Health Flexibility Act of 2017 This bill establishes circumstances under which an occupational therapist may conduct an initial or comprehensive assessment for an individual who is eligible for home health services under Medicare. Specifically, an occupational therapist may conduct the assessment if the physician's referral order does not include skilled nursing care but does include: (1) occupational therapy, and (2) physical therapy or speech language pathology.

Peer-Support Specialist Act of 2017 This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to award grants to eligible entities to develop and sustain behavioral health paraprofessional training and education programs, including through tuition support. Eligible entities are community colleges, training or credentialing programs, and other entities deemed appropriate by HHS. PIMA of 2017 Promoting Integrity in Medicare Act of 2017 This bill expands Medicare's prohibition on physician self-referrals to include, with specified exceptions, certain advanced imaging, anatomic pathology, radiation therapy, and physical therapy services. Additionally, the bill establishes increased civil monetary penalties for violations of the self-referral prohibition with respect to those services. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services shall conduct a compliance review with respect to such referrals.
